About The Owner

My name is Michael O'Leary. I’m a local General Contractor who has called the Twin Cities home for my entire life... I grew up on Summit Avenue in Highland Park St. Paul, and graduated from Highland Park Senior High School before playing collegiate soccer at the University of Minnesota where I triple majored in Finance, Marketing, and Industrial Relations. Go Gophers!

With my Bachelor’s under my belt, I became a telecommunications expert in the long-distance industry and later at the inception of the cellular phone industry. During this time, I was the top-salesperson for various companies I worked for in the early ’80s and ’90s (MCI, Allnet, VectorOne, US West).

Inspired by the birth of my only son, Michael-Patrick, I migrated into the insurance industry excited to take on new challenges in my career. I started a Farmers Insurance Agency which I owned for over 12 years. I enjoyed my time spent as an agent and I learned a lot about the insurance industry which helps me better serve customers in my current line of work.

Life wasn’t always smooth sailing, however. Three years after my son’s birth, our world was turned upside-down when he was diagnosed with Childhood Leukemia. It was a long, hard battle for him and our whole family. But thanks to my son’s unbreakable spirit, his skilled doctors, and a little Irish good-luck, he survived and has been in remission ever since.

I had my fair share of health struggles as well, including my spinal cord surgery and my ongoing battle with skin cancer. But inspired by my son’s resilience, I kept pushing forward and in 2004 I founded my construction company, Insurance Solutions Services, which has been my full-time job ever-since. My son Michael-Patrick grew up, got married, started a highly-successful franchise and just had his first son, Harrison Patrick (my first grandson).

Overcoming my own life’s challenges has encouraged me to help others; to be a good friend and a good neighbor. In my 30 years living in Eden Prairie, I have served as a commissioner for 4 terms, and I was involved in coaching and volunteering for Eden Prairie sports for over a decade. As a local business owner my mission is to help my community rebuild and recover when storm damage strikes. Every day, I use my inside-knowledge of the insurance industry to help people get the quality repairs they deserve, without costing them thousands of dollars out of pocket.

Outside of work, I try to live life to the fullest and make every moment count! I enjoy spending time with my son, daughter-in law and grandson, who recently moved back to the Twin Cities. And on weekends you can usually find me boating on Lake Minnetonka or listening to live music from my favorite local bands!
